TREE CLIMBING

A passion for connecting people with nature

Connecting with nature

Welcome to research, adventure & expert safety in the trees

Tree climbing is a way of connecting people with nature. It’s also often the only way to safely explore remote forest canopy ecology. Tropical forest canopies remain a relatively understudied component of these ecosystems despite being unique and highly biodiverse. Find out our latest research here.

In my role as a Tree Safety Expert I provide safety critical cover for organisations, film and tv in adventurous situations. Discover our research and read about tree climbing expeditions to the cloud forests of Costa Rica and Honduras, to the towering redwood trees of California and work on rare raptors in the UK.

Safety is at the heart of what we do

There are many pleasures and adventures to be enjoyed in the Scottish countryside but few can be as pure and elemental as climbing a tree!

It’s really relaxing: I even close my eyes and feel quite sleepy, my earlier fears have completely vanished.

We are always very aware that being amongst trees gives us something far more than just adventure. There is so much wonder in the woods, from tree hugging to reconnecting with nature and the many and varied benefits of woodland and trees. You'll find it's well worth your while taking a moment to notice and enjoy your local trees as they may be positively impacting you and your health more than you realise!
