WELCOME TO MY WORLD OF TREE CLIMBING

About Us

Whether it’s scaling trees or abseiling from the top of iconic city buildings in the heart of Glasgow, using industry recognised skills is an exciting way to work in conservation.

We work in partnership on a wide range of projects which foster an appreciation of nature, helping to inspire the next generation of young conservationists, for a better future for all of us.

As Tree Safety Experts, we often leave the world behind on journeys immersed in tree time and our ‘office’ can be anywhere from 45m above the ground in the cloud forests of Honduras and complex risk assessments out on location for site access, to indoors for thorough LOLER kit inspections.

Whatever we do when providing safety critical cover for our clients, from shows in the heart of London and film crews in trees around the UK to science and conservation projects around the world, safety is always the first priority.

Go to publications for recent discoveries in forest canopy ecology and work on Schedule 1 raptors here in the UK.

WORKING WITH PEOPLE AND NATURE

In my work as a tree safety expert and rope access technician, I assist conservation projects around the UK including the Glasgow Peregrine Project, DRSG, SRMS. Professional clients who required safely guiding people into dangerous environments include Canopy Access, Operation Wallacea, Furnace TV and BBC Studios.

My research is on mammals behaviours in Costa Rica, and raptors breeding within a habitat mosaic in the UK, using advanced tree climbing techniques to access the canopy. Documented for the first time, our tropical forest canopy ecology project is investigating multi-species mammal latrines in the cloud forests of Costa Rica.

As part of the Dorset Raptor Study Group I also work on Schedule 1 raptor species in the UK, specifically a long-term project on European Hobby (Falco subbuteo).

Tim was a superb and reassuring help on the day of filming and made us all feel very safe. Our presenter Jim Al-Khalili very much enjoyed working with him as he clambered around at the top of that enormous tree.
